First record quarter of 2020 for fuel cells expert Proton Motor

● 6,4 Million Euros in order intakes

● BReCycle-Project started with Fraunhofer

● Participation in Bavarian Energy Award

● A new product innovations podcast

Puchheim near Munich, May 12, 2020 – Despite the Corona situation, demand is stable: The hydrogen fuel cell manufacturer Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH (www.proton-motor.de) is pleased about its successful economic development at the start of the year, which meant pandemic-related crisis scenarios for many industries. Accordingly, the Bavarian company was able to record the end of the first quarter of 2020 with a record order intake of 6.4 Million Euros.

”Our quality products play a significant role in preventing global warming. We continue to see sustainable indicators in the market that the strategic investments in high-tech development by Proton Motor over the last two decades have paid off. “, Board Member and Finance Director Roman Kotlarzewski comments on the positive start of the year. This is also analysed by the listed English parent company “Proton Motor Power Systems” (www.protonpowersystems.com) as a clear sign of the correct market positioning.

This goes hand in hand with the effectiveness of the joint ventures and co-operations, as implemented by the Puchheim engineers in a variety of ways. The most recent example – in addition to the current completion of the 180 kW container solution for Germany’s largest hydrogen power plant, which is to be opened by “APEX Energy Teterow” in Rostock in June – is the collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute IWKS, which has started a reuse concept for the recycling of fuel cells with the support of several industrial partners, including Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH. Under the project name “BReCycle high-quality precious metals in the circular economy such as platinum and ruthenium from the electrode coating of the polymer membrane are to be fractioned and applied to rework processes. In addition, the fuel cell solution “PM Module S8” developed for the “Hy2Green” order, which generates emission-free energy from hydrogen and was implemented in the South Tyrolean project “Knappenhaus” in 2019, was submitted for the “Bayerischer Energiepreis 2020” (Bavarian Energy Award 2020) as well as for “Innovationspreis Bayern 2020” (Innovation Award of Bavaria 2020). The latest podcast interview for the “AVID Technology Group” on https://avidtp.com/ also outlines other innovative Proton Motor product solutions in perspective.
